The Fate 3000 Lives. The Deportation of Jews from the Teresienstadt Ghetto to Riga. 1942

The opening ceremony of the Memorial Wall for Western European Jews, who were deported to Latvia during the Holocaust and exhibition “The Fate of 3000 Lives. The Deportation of Jews from Teresienstadt ghetto to Riga, 1942”. The ceremony will take place on May 8, 2014 at 16:00 at the Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust museum (Maskavas str. 14a, Riga). 25 000 Jews from Germany, Austria, Hungary and Czechoslovakia were deported and exterminated in Latvia during World War II. This includes 3,000 people from the Teresienstadt ghetto. The project is aimed to present the names. The Riga Ghetto museum has maintained a unique memorial for the 100 000 Jews of Latvia and Europe who perished during the Holocaust in Latvia.
